Three-day free eye camp with free cataract surgery held on Walang of Syangja district concluded on Saturday. 43 Cataract patient recovered their sight on the free surgical camp.
The eye camp was locally managed by Eye care centre Waling and Primary Health Care Waling Syangja. The doctors’ and surgical team were managed by Himalaya Eye Hospital, Pokhara.
A total of 450 persons had undergone eye examination at the camp, according to Tej Bahadur Gurung, Incharge of Eye Center.
Ophthalmologist Dr Harimaya Gurung led a seven-member team of ophthalmologists and surgical team that carried out the surgery and provided free medicines and eyeglasses.
People from Waling, Bhirkot, Galyang, Chapakot municipality of Syangja and some parts of southern Parbat benefitted from the camp
