B.P. Eye Foundation, Children’s Hospital for Eye Ear and Rehabilitation Service (CHEERS) Hospital, Manohara, Bhaktapur has been running a free rehabilitation center since 2012 for children who are visually impaired, hearing impaired and with associated disabilities. The trainers at the rehabilitation center train the children ranging from ages 4 to 10 with daily living skills, motor skills and sensory skill and place them into mainstream education for inclusive education. So far they have enrolled 328 children with disability from 59 districts in their enabling center where 224 children were successfully graduated and currently studying at different inclusive Schools.
There are hostel facilities for the children within the hospital premises along with a well equipped enabling center. The hostel has a capacity for 30 children.
