Rapti Eye Hospital has organized Surgical Camps
Rapti Eye Hospital lies in Western Nepal. It lies in the Midwestern Development Region in the beautiful city of Tulsipur, Dang. Rapti eye hospital provides services to the people of Districts like Dang, Salyan, Rukum, Rolpa, Jajarkot, Dolpa and few other neighbouring districts attached to dang. Along with providing services to 400 people who visit on average to Rapti Eye Hospital, It also Organizes multiple Free surgical camps round the year since the establishment. Rapti Eye Hospital is financially supported by the Norwegian Association for blind and partially sighted(NABP).
Like every year, on dated 5th March to 10th March, free surgical Camps were Organized by Rapti Eye Hospital in the remote districts i.e. Salyan and Western Rukum’s Rural Municipalities. The Ophthalmic technical team was led by Ophthalmologists Dr Nita Sunam Gomal. In the 2 days surgical camp of Salyan (Sallibajar), 485 Number of patient of the remote place visited the event for an eye check-up. Total of 97 people was operated for cataracts. While on 2 days surgical camp at Rukum (Kholagaun), 682 people came for an eye exam and 68 people were operated for cataracts and In Salyan district (Triveni), 734 people came for eye check-up while 54 people came for surgery.
