ASG Eye Hospital in Naya Baneshwor, Kathmandu is located in prime location in Kathmandu and it’s modern building with parking and other facilities. In general the hospital presentation looks good in term of hygiene and procedures/process of the patients treatment in comparison to long queue and confusing process to move and queue at different departments at Nepal’s top eye hospital “Tilganga Eye Hosp.
I just want to write my family and own experience at ASG Eye hospital, Naya Baneshwor, Kathmandu which didn’t meet my expectation or service and technical standard and quality that every patient would expect from the hospital.
Firstly I doubted their Eye Test quality as myself and my wife went through and they warned us that we need urgent surgery. We went to another eye hospital to do another eye test where they advised us our eye sight wasn’t that far off from previous test and they assured we do not need any urgent eye surgery
Secondly we ordered new glasses after test at ASG Eye hospital which we ordered Dibyfocal glass as we have been wearing last few years. After few weeks, we collected our glasses but we, both found that our eye sights were worse than before as we have difficulty reading and computer work. We went back and complained about the glass which worsen our eye sights and we also raised the concerned whether the actual Eye Test was flawed or incorrect !!. Hospital staff were rigid rather than listening to us and advised to get another Progressive glass then I thought that might improve my eye sight. Now I accepted to swap another glass with extra expense. After a week, I collected glass (progressive) but this was frustrating that I couldn’t see better than my old glass.
This is my real experience with ASG Eye Hosp and I hope many patients may have your own experiences and feelings which I would love to hear and read.
My recommendation 6/10
Worst eye hospital i have ever visited…. Doctors need to learn how to talk with patients
