About the “Eye Care Everywhere” Photo Competition
The #EyeCareEverywhere Photo Competition organized by The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), is the fourth photo competition organized for World Sight Day. Professional and Amateur photographers can take part in this photo competition.
As mentioned on the IAPB website, IAPB run a photo competition for World Sight Day because as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. This photo competition can be a great opportunity to highlight eye health successes and also document unmet need.
The aim of the competition is to promote awareness of eye care, help draw attention to eye health issues and highlight solutions.
All individuals interested in the theme are welcome to participate in the photo competition. Send your photos with the theme ‘Eye Care Everywhere’ before World Sight Day (11th October 2018) on the link given below. Every week, they will pick “Editor’s picks” and showcase them on IAPB’s social media accounts. Finally, winners will be selected from these Editor’s picks after World Sight Day (the last day of the competition).
The photo competitions were launched in 2015 and run every year with support from Bayer. Over 2900 eye care photos have been submitted by photographers from around the globe, helping us build a fantastic photo repository for the eye care community.
Prizes:
The Winners of this photo competition will be announced on 15th October 2018 and contacted by mail and also the announcement on the IAPB website.
Prize for Professional category winner will get the Cash prize of USD 1000 and Amateur category winner will get Canon 1200 D DSLR camera.
