Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Rapti eye health program has set the annual target for the patient outflow in its eye hospitals and eye care centre running in different parts of the midwestern development region for the year 2018. The target so set is told to be met if 2 lacs, 66 thousand, 108 patients are examined in the year of 2018.

The seminar of the yearly target, set was held on 11th February 2018 in the city of Ghorahi, Dang. Whereas, In the year 2017, the Rapti eye health programme had set the target of 2 lacs, 53 thousand, 436 patients with eye diseases to be examined. The hospital has set target of operating 14 thousand eyes of a patient having cataract. In the previous year, a total of 13000 and more patients were operated for cataracts as told by Hospital’s manager Samsher Thapa.

Likewise, It is planned to provide Service to more than 29,123people in the Free school eye health programs and Free Eye examination Camps. Planning of doing minor surgeries like Chalazion, Entropion etc. is set to 2,090. It is planned to correct refractive errors of more than 13,714 people in the year of 2018. Hospital has also planned to give eye health training to 330 Health post incharges, Traditional healers, Mothers groups, Female Community Health Volunteers, Teachers.
Rapti eye hospital has planned to start its Laboratory facilities and the service is planned to be provided to 13,770 patients.

The hospital is supported by Norwegian association for blind and partially sighted(NABP). Netra Jyoti Sangh working with Rapti eye hospital has promised to improvise the facilities of different eye hospitals and eye care centres i.e Ghorahi eye care centre, Rolpa eye care centre, Salyan eye care centre, Rukum eye care centre, Lamahi eye hospital, Chhandakale Babu Narayani eye hospital, Koilabas eye care centre, and Rapti eye hospital itself, running under Rapti Eye Health Programme.
