6-months and 1-year courses on Primary Eye Health are provided to Auxiliary Health Workers (AHW) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs). In Biratnagar Eye Hospital and Sagarmatha Chaudhary Eye Hospital Lahan running under Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh Eastern Regional Eye Care Programme, there is a 3-years training course to AHW and ANM. This is certified training which includes a final exam and skill test certificate by National Skill Testing Board (NSTB) CTEVT Kathmandu. After Completion of this course they will work as an Eye Health Workers on Eye Clinics and Eye Hospitals.
